Lee Graham was in for quite a shock when her reign recently began. The high school senior from Chapin was crowned, just as the six Miss Teen USAs before her had been, at the majestic At- lantis Resort in the Bahamas back in Au- gust, and everything has been a classic whirlwind of traveling and making ap- pearances since then. As a fan of acting and a role model to so many of her peers and teenagers across the country, she al- ready knows what it takes to adapt, so even the idea of traveling every week has been all too easy for the girl who now considers herself a “regular at the airport.” What K. Lee hopes to get out of her year as Miss Teen USA is nothing short of ambitious and admirable, as the 17- year old is eager to spread the message from her “Live Beautifully” platform, which teaches young girls that they should embrace the beauty of character over that of looks. But she also can’t wait to take advantage of one of the biggest prizes that the Miss Teen USA crown presents—a scholarship to the New York Film Academy.
