Tell us about your business.
After many years of experience in crowning queens and presenting them beautiful jewelry on an international level, it was a natural segue for Gayle Gaston to begin a company specializing in lovely, classic, “look of real” affordable jewelry. At Gayle Gaston & Company, our mission statement is to assist everyone—bride, pageant participant, queen or just that special person with exquisite taste—to find those perfect pieces for each gift or special outfit without breaking the bank.

What divisions do you carry?
We focus on special occasions and pageant jewelry with many crown pieces to choose from. Inspired by some of the world’s finest jewelry, our selections feature exquisite design incorporating high-intensity cubic zirconia set in rhodium-plated sterling silver, providing the fabulous look of platinum and diamonds. You'll also find a wide selection in our Earrings category, with such pageant-perfect offerings as the dazzling “diamond-look” of our crown studs, heart hoops, and long drop earrings. With classic diamond chokers, ruby-and-diamond cluster pendants, and Diamonds by the Yard, the Necklaces line has more than two dozen looks worthy of a queen. Accessories such as bag charms and keychains are another option. Our collection of Hats and Gags offers styles with playful sophistication that are perfect for leisure travel or competition trips.

What size ranges do you offer?
Ring sizes range from size 5-9, and size 10 in some styles. Necklaces and bracelets vary.

What intrigued you to originally enter the fashion industry?
Fashion is my passion! I was a model for years, and I believe when you are trained in that way it never really leaves you. Plus, both my grandmothers were designers and dressmakers, my paternal grandmother was a milliner, and my father was an artist and businessperson as I am—so I guess it’s in my DNA. I built my first business designing faces; however, my enthusiasm for fashion and adornment have always been at the forefront and are currently moving forward at the speed of light.

Where do you find your design inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere I look—especially in nature I see beautiful designs. I love all art, design, fashion, architecture, and the visual arts; one takes you to another to another, and my imagination and dreams take over from there. Creativity just happens when one keeps and open mind.

Where do you see your business and industry trends heading?
Actually, I see high-end “look of real” jewelry on the rise as baby boomers and young people strive to stay in fashion yet hold onto their cash. Also, many of my clients are enjoying filling their travel jewelry bags with the “look of real” with no fear of going out of the country with the “family jewels.” Plus, at Gayle Gaston & Co., we strive to keep our overhead low to accommodate everyone’s budget, while still offering the best for the least! That is why I only see our business continuing its upward spiral as women, in particular, realize they can accessorize themselves and their significant others like the stars on a working person’s bank account. As far as style goes, we are always searching for the most interesting pieces worldwide to provide our clients with true international style and fashion.

Why do you continue to love what you do?
It makes me feel so good to see a client sparkle in just the right jewelry for her outfit. Accessories are so important in putting an outfit together, and it gives me great pleasure to help do just that. I believe customer service is at the core of our own satisfaction. Knowing our clients are happy makes all the difference! We care about people and it shows.
