This 10th-anniversary competition delivers a worthy winner, Meghan Bryan, whose prior Junior Teen America victory only underscores the pageant’s decade-long string of successes.

Miss Teen America 2005 Meghan Bryan |
”Simply Irresistible,” the title to the classic pop song, also describes Meghan Bryan in Nashville, Tennessee, at the pageant system’s diamond (10th) anniversary competition, as 13 judges, including Pageantry magazine’s own CEO Carl Dunn, gave Meghan the points needed to clinch the title of Miss Teen America 2005.
The competition at the top was fierce and Meghan welcomed the challenge throughout, with Erina Patterson (GA) wowing the crowd through a lively gypsy violin selection and the 5-ft.-9-in. blond-haired blue-eyed Rebecca Hasulak (AZ) stealing the show in runway modeling. It would also be difficult to discount the impact that the effervescent Rikki Klaus (FL) had with her infectiously vivacious attitude and graceful presentation in Eveningwear, and Tennessee’s Jessica Stahl kept her home-state crowd cheering with a vocal/piano performance to “A Thousand Miles.”
But when all was said and done, Meghan Bryan, the 5-ft.-6-in. brunette with piercing blue eyes from Wake Forest, North Carolina, once again snagged a Teen America national crown. Wait! Once again? Yes! As Miss Junior Teen America 2002, Meghan is the second delegate in the pageant’s 10-year history to clinch both the Junior Teen and Teen national titles, with the other being Alysha Castonguay, who is Miss Junior Teen America 2000 and Miss Teen America 2003. |
