Sometimes we may not be planning for an extravagant evening, but an event pops up out of nowhere and leaves us with very little time to put together a look that normally requires an afternoon at the salon. But as Ashley and Alyssa, two of our Pageantry and PromTime Fashion Showcase models show us, putting together the right look isn’t as tough and time-consuming as we expect it to be.
1. From The Top
Alyssa’s hair is blow dried for texture and pinned to achieve the soft curls. Ashley’s hair is also textured then pinned in order to make it curl.
2. Laying A Foundation
Makeup application is started by cleaning and preparing Ashley’s skin for a smooth application. Concealer is applied to the area under the eyes for face contouring and foundation is airbrushed for an even, sheer appearance. Powder is then applied to set the makeup, followed by an application of blush and bronzer.
3. Taking Shape
The makeover is continued with the shaping of the eyebrows and the application of the correct eye shadow, and, taking into consideration the size and shape of the model’s eyes, we work on enhancing the eyes and working with liners and eyelashes as well. We finish Ashley’s makeup by shaping and applying lipstick and lip gloss.
4. Setting the Tone
With Alyssa, we applied a different tone of foundation and powder to even out the skin color and give a shear and smooth look to the skin.
5. Almost There
We loosen Ashley’s and Alyssa’s curls and shape their hair for a glamorous hairstyle. Lastly, we put the finishing touches on the hair and makeup suited for an elegant evening.
6. A Timeless Look
Alyssa (top, left) and Ashley (top, right) are now ready for their evening, and now you know exactly how we created such glamorous evening looks.
